I am a New York-based, London-born journalist specializing in health, science and social affairs.

Currently: Deputy Editor overseeing Health coverage at Insider.

Previously: I established the Health team at DailyMail.com in 2016, and ran it for three-and-a-half years, editing and reporting. I joined Insider in January 2020 as a Health Editor, a role that soon expanded to include co-leading the newsroom’s COVID coverage alongside the News and Science teams.

Before that: I have 10 years’ experience in print, digital, TV and social media, with work published in The Economist, Mail on Sunday, The Guardian, South London Press, and The Daily Telegraph, among others.

I’ve held reporting positions at The Argentina Independent (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Manchester Evening News (Manchester, UK), Caters News Agency (Birmingham, UK), and MailOnline (London, UK).

Speaking appearances include BBC Radio 4, Fox, and Cheddar.

About me: I’m fluent in English and Spanish, I can get by in French, and I’m working on my Dutch. I have a bachelor’s degree in English & Spanish Literature from the University of York (UK), a postgraduate diploma in journalism from Press Association, and a certificate in Global Affairs from NYU.
